June 15 Meet and This Week!
Parents and Swimmers-
Awesome meet Saturday!
Please remind your swimmers that sometimes when they start swimming the "correct" stroke technique that their time may get slower at first. Once the technique gets practiced, their time will drop and that great technique will set them up for success down the line. That concept is hard to grasp for many:)
Thank you to all the "buddies" - It is so great to see the team starting to get to know each other and bond!
This week's female swimmer of the meet was Imani Doan. Imani is a new swimmer to the team this year and has done exceptional. She continues to improve on all of her times and has developed into quite a good little breast-stroker and only recently learned the stroke. She works hard and always gives her 100% effort and is always thinking things through things like I ask her to do:)
This week's male swimmer of the meet was Braedon Cordova. Braedon shows up to practice on time everyday and works so hard to improve. He listens to coaching and makes the changes. This week he swam sick and still managed to get 2 of his best times. He is a team swimmer and great buddy. He is always respectful. So proud of you Braedon!
This week will be a special week.
We will have the Gator virtual meet Wednesday during practice. Warm-up will be:
6:45-7:00 for 11-up
7:00-7:15 10-under
The meet will start at 7:30am at our pool. We will take this meet at our own pace and have fellowship and pancakes after the meet!
We are looking forward to getting our fastest times swimming in our pool.
Please try to attend practice this week tomorrow and thursday and then you will get a nice break Friday-Sunday-
Good luck to the 3 swimmers that are swimming at the KCI Invitational this weekend!
Reach out if you need anything-
Blessings-
