Good Afternoon BC swimmers,

This is going to be a long but very important email. We have two fun meets coming up next few weeks. These meets are the Gator Open Wednesday, June 21, and Ken Caryl Invitational (KC Invite) on June 23-24. Your child has the opportunity to swim in one of these meets. There are qualifying time standards in order to swim in the Ken Caryl Invite meet. On the SwimTopia site, you can go to the KC Invite and see if your child has qualified. Your child is eligible to swim the events that are in white. The grayed-out events are the non-eligible events for the KC Invite. If your child does not have any KC invite cuts (white), then they are eligible to swim the Gator Open. However, all participants entering the Gator Open must have NOT QUALIFIED for any individual events at KCI that they will be swimming in the Gator Open.

Make note that the GATOR OPEN will be a virtual meet. The Gator open will be held at Bear Creek on Wednesday, June 21. It will be during normal practice time with all swimmers arriving at 7:00am.

Once you have reviewed the meet information, please indicate on both of the two meets Attending/NOT attending.  If you know that you are unable to attend these meets, we ask that you please indicate that you are not attending. If you are not registered for either meet, coaches will assume that you are unable to make one of these meets.

• Gator Meet entries are open but will close on Saturday, June 17 at 6:00 pm
• KC Invite meet entries are open but will close on Sunday, June 18 at 6:00 pm

Coaches are allowing parents/swimmers to sign up for meet events, but the coaches will have final event approval.

Additional Meet Information

• Virtual Gator Open: Swimmers can swim 3 events and 2 relays. Please note that if your child qualified for the KC invite, he/she is not eligible to participate in the Gator open in those races. HOWEVER, ALL BC swimmers will come to practice Tuesday morning to help time and to cheer on their teammates. This should be the first only year this meet will be conducted virtually.

• Ken Caryl Invitational: Friday, June 23, and Saturday, June 24

Ken Caryl’s Pool-7676 South Continental Divide Road

This is a 2-day meet with 3 different sessions. The sessions are determined based on age groups.  Please see all the details for the KCI meet attached to this email.  Please note- this meet requires entry fees.  The parents are responsible for all event fees.  The fees are $3 per individual race and $8 per relay.
