Meet Saturday June 18 and This Week!

Parents and Swimmers-

Awesome meet this morning! So proud of each swimmers perfect effort! We once again had so many best times...

Please remind your swimmers that sometimes when they start swimming the "correct" stroke technique that their time may get slower at first.  Once the technique gets practiced, their time will drop and that great technique will set them up for success down the line.  That concept is hard to grasp for many:)

We had:

69 Total Improved Times

Pct Improved Times 37.70%

Thank you to all the "buddies"  - It is so great to see the team starting to get to know each other and bond!

This week's female swimmer of the meet is Ruthie Hause. Ruthie is a new 8-under to the team this year and has done exceptional.  She improved on all of her times yesterday and has developed into quite a good little breast-stroker and only learned the stroke 2 weeks ago.  She works hard and always has a smile on her face to share:)

This week's male swimmer of the meet is Isaac Osborne. Isaac shows up to practice on time everyday and works so hard to improve.  He listens to coaching and makes the changes.  This week he dropped 5 seconds in 2 races and his strokes looked amazing. So proud of you Isaac!

This week will be a special week.

We will have the Gator virtual meet Tuesday during practice.  If your swimmer has not qualified for the KCI meet, please go in today and sign them up for the Gator meet.  We will start the meet at 6:00am for warm-up at our pool.

If your swimmer has qualified for the KCI meet, please go in today and sign them up for the races they want tho swim this weekend!  They will still attend practice Tuesday morning to help time and work the meet and cheer on their friends.  They will also warm-up with the team.

**Special circumstances:  If your swimmer qualified in only 1 race for the KCI meet or you can not attend the KCI meet for some reason, please email me  what races they would like to swim and we can get them exhibition in the gator meet so they can swim on Tuesday.

Enjoy your Sunday and stay cool- see you all soon-

Reach out if you need anything-

Blessings-

Coach JO

PS- There have been a couple swimmers come down with ear infections.  Please be sure that the swimmers rinse their ears after swimming each time.  This will help prevent water from accumulating in the ears and getting infected.
